Whinging kids.. shutup! A Harold Schonberg quote.
April 27th 2006 00:09
“Anybody who gets away with something will come back to get away with a little bit more.” - Harold Schonberg.
Harold Schonberg was an American music critic and journalist, most notably for The New York Times, and I totally agree with his quote! It instantly reminds my of my 15 year old little sister who is always getting away with things, and my parents always seem to be letting her have a little more each time. They just can't be bothered anymore… which is why she seems to like demanding things an awful lot!
Bitchy elder sister remarks aside, this quote can also be noticed in young toddlers having their fits of whinging when they don’t get their way… let them win now parents and they’ll only expect you to do so again! Same goes for pets, let them know who’s boss from the start! Can you think of any other situations this quote would come in use?
