The Chaser and Mariah Carey
July 13th 2006 07:56
"Whenever I watch TV and see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can't help but cry. I mean I'd love to be skinny like that but not with all those flies and death and stuff." - Maria Carey.
Oooohhhh this is a juicy one! Let’s all just hope that Mariah is not serious here (although if she wasn’t it would be a very heartless joke). I think it’d be better if this American singer was just being an ignorant bimbo when she gave this quote. This quote makes me doubt, even more, the intelligence Americans have for their world around them. Since America is very patriotic and narrow-minded there never seems to be room to learn anything about anywhere else in the world.
Have any of our readers ever watched the ABC satirical program The Chaser? They have a tendency to reveal American stupidity. I found the funniest video clip the other day, of interviews they had with stupid Americans. But to be fair, they may just have edited out any smart Americans…
