Oh what a fatal mistake! The Decca Recording Company must have been kicking themselves ever since. We all know just how popular The Beatles were in their time – and even nowadays, everyone has heard of them. Well I suppose they did release more than 40 different singles, albums and EPs that reached number one in the UK alone!
The Americans were obviously frustrated at the time because they weren’t the centre of the world, so they produced The Monkees band which, in comparison, were not that good (although they did outsell the Beatles and Elvis Presley combined in 1967).
Now I’m nowhere near an avid Beatles fan like many people I know, but I can say that I enjoy their music, most of the time. My favourite Beatles song is Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds. But I also love Oh Bla Di and I Am The Walrus, and probably countless others that I have forgotten about.

But i thought this post might be about the best beatles quote I've ever heard. Paul is being asked about Ringo by an interviewer, who asks;
"Do you think he's the best drummer in the world?"
to which Paul replies "Best in the world?? He's not even the best in the band!"
