Scabbing Petrol off Your Parents
July 17th 2006 00:55
"A thoughtful kid is one who leaves enough gas in the tank for you to get to the filling station." -Unknown
Oh I can relate to this one! Don’t tell him, but when I know my Dad is going to use my car I don’t put petrol in it, even if it’s really empty; because the emptier the tank is, the more likely he’ll put some fuel in! It’s also a good idea to really emphasise how much you’ve been driving your little sister around, and whinge about ‘how expensive petrol is at the moment’, majorly affecting your already very depressing financial situation.
Yeah I know it’s scabby, and you could call me a ‘sponge’, but Dad works full time and I’m a struggling uni student remember? So why not try and score some free fuel every now and then? If anyone else has tips they can share with us on how to maximise your sponging potential from your parents I'd love to hear it!
