Not Valuing Sister's Opinions...

"I'm sorry if I ever gave you the impression your input would have any effect on my decision." – Unknown
This quote is so applicable to me! Every time I’m having a conversation with my mum about something (usually private) my sister just has to chime in and voice her stupid opinion. She has a habit of sticking her stupid nose in even after I say “This is none of you business, bugger off!”
Before you think I’m an absolute cow and dislike communicating with my sister at all just let me add that the comments she provides as she eagerly gives her two cents worth are NOT NICE. They’re usually something like, “Oh, don’t be stupid. Why would you do that? You have no idea!” – rather than – “I know, how about you do this instead? It would give a better result”. I thank God that she’s not a primary school teacher, the poor kids! Next time she decides to give me such crap I’ll just say, “"I'm sorry if I ever gave you the impression your input would have any effect on my decision." That’d scare her off.
Although, her blunt no-bullshit opinion is very helpful in some instances. For example, when asking about my appearance before going out, or what I should do about a boy situation - this feedback is invaluable. So thanks sis!
Apart from elder sisters, I don’t see any other situations where someone’s opinion is (usually) immediately disregarded. Unless it’s cruel, I suppose. Like when you get those uber mean bus drivers that just don't want to be there and treat you like crap. I got the worst driver once! It was the first time I was catching a particular route and I asked where it was stopping specifically, and was shocked with his reply, “This bus stops where it usually stops!” Bastard.
So in light of this post, any mean comments on this blog will be given the above quote as a response…
