Men & Commitment

"If you never want to see a man again say, 'I love you, I want to marry you, I want to have children'. They leave skid marks." - Rita Rudner
One question guys, WHY IS THIS!?!? What’s your problem? It’s a positive thing. The whole human population that has ever existed has come about because of getting together with someone, making some sort of commitment (this is a more recent thing, earlier Homo wasn’t exactly a monogamous genus) and finally, the most fundamental of life - reproduction.
I don’t get why there is this massive line between women and men in this sense. Why is it that men have this desire to freely roam without having (or wanting) any idea of future settlement? Why does it frankly scare the crap out of them whenever a hint of future marriage is suggested? Like it’s an unwarranted question? If you ask us girls, we don’t just go out with you because there was nothing else to do at the time; if we’ve been in a relationship for a while you’re obviously doing something right and we’d naturally want it to last forever, which in these modern times evokes the idea of marriage (duh!).
Work it out guys; if you’ve been dating someone for a while it makes sense to want to commit some time in the future. Otherwise, what’s the bloody point?
