Happiness is like Peeing Yourself...

“Happiness is like peeing yourself, everyone can see it but only u can feel its warmth!” – Unknown
Ok, this is a very gross quote but I just had to put it up! Who would ever have thought a one-liner could compare happiness to peeing yourself? But if happiness is like peeing yourself, why is it so much harder to come by? I mean, if we wanted instant warmth from our urinary tract we could quickly decide to let our bladder loose and soak ourselves wet in pee (if you’re that much of a nutcase). But happiness is much harder to obtain; it’s not just about thinking for a split-second and releasing a bodily fluid, we must earn happiness – through friends, lovers, perseverance and other hard-to-manage obstacles.
But wouldn’t it be great if, like peeing, we could just instantly shower ourselves with happiness when we’re feeling down? Like when you leave an exam and just know you’ve buggered it up, wouldn’t it be awesome if you started walking out of the uni and just as you were out of distance the examination hall suddenly burst into flames? With everything destroyed, you’ll never have to worry about how bad you did in the exam again!
Alas, life isn’t like this. To gain happiness, we must earn it by studying hard and being focused. And as our final exams approach just remember that according to some people, happiness isn’t like peeing yourself (apart from the warm feeling you get that only you can thoroughly enjoy), “Life's greatest happiness is to be convinced we are loved."- Victor Hugo.
And according to this quote, I am one unhappy person: "Those who seek happiness miss it, and those who discuss it, lack it." - Holbrook Jackson. How unfortunate...
