Golf Anger

“In primitive society, when native tribes beat the ground with clubs and yelled, it was called witchcraft; today, in civilized society, it is called golf.” - Anonymous
Who thinks golf is an annoying game?? I do! If you’re good at it, if you’ve got some skill it’s definitely more satisfying. But if you only ever play the odd game once a month, prepare to be very much frustrated.
I used to play when I was a kid but realised after a few years that I should give up because I was hopeless. Nowadays, I have the odd hit at the driving range and it takes me a good 20 balls to stop hitting the wooden plank in front of me and actually start hitting the ball out onto the fairway! The good thing about golf though, is that if you’re crap (like me) you can still manage a few random beautiful, pro-looking hits even though the rest are totally devastating.
My Dad’s been playing golf for years, but most times he comes back from the course agitated because everything in golf goes down to how well you just hit the ball. For example, in basketball you have dozens of chances to be skilled - running, shooting, defence, dribbling, whatever. Golf is just difficultly specific, so why bother?
