This clear and simple quote should be recognised more often. We all know that some things we have to do are a huge pain (e.g. applying for Youth Allowance, enrolling at uni, cleaning the shower, etc), but to put it bluntly – once you do it it’s done. No more procrastinating, worrying, beating around the bush. You can forget about it because it’s done.
I know there are some things that we should procrastinate about - like splitting up with girlfriends/boyfriends, telling your parents you’re pregnant whilst still in high school, or telling you’re that hot guy/girl that you like them – but in the end, like the quote says, if we “Do it now. Then it’s done.”
So go on and talk to that good-looking curly-haired guy in your metalwork class – then it’s done. Nothing may happen, but it may turn out to be the best move you’ve ever made!
