Controlling women... Camille Paglia

“Teenage boys, goaded by their surging hormones run in packs like the primal horde. They have only a brief season of exhilarating liberty between control by their mothers and control by their wives.” - Camille Paglia
Camille Paglia is a University Professor of Humanities and Media Studies, and she tells us here that teenage boys are goaded (or aggravated) by their hormones and run in hordes as men are almost always controlled by women. Camille thinks that there is only a small gap between when boys are controlled by their mothers and when they are controlled by their wives. She does make a good point here, as I believe that many women do control or at least try to control their sons or husbands.
It’s so typical to hear a man say “No I can’t go (to wherever) because Samantha, Kaitlin (or whoever) wants me to clean my room first, or set the table, or mow the lawn, or take the kids to soccer, etc. Without being sterotypical I think it usually is the woman who orders the man (or boy) around to get something done, (with sometimes excessive nagging), because, in my opinion, the man won’t do it himself!
