This quote sounds very Family Guy, i.e. very random. That’s why it’s funny! No matter how hard The Simpsons tries it’ll never be able to get back to the top spot as far as American comedic cartoons go. Being random is what Family Guy is all about and it’s what makes the burst-out-loud laughter that is shared by millions of its devotees.
Many parents forbid their children to watch these sorts of cartoons because they are ‘too crude’ or ‘too violent’. Well I, like many others, grew up watching The Simpsons and I think I turned out just fine! When it’s in a cartoon, you don’t take the joke seriously – it’s all just a bit of fun. I say it’s the home environment that needs to be kept peaceful; cartoons are just an innocent laugh.
