Beer comes from God - Benjamin Franklin

“Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.” - Benjamin Franklin
Now I’m not sure that this intelligent man - who was a famous scientist, inventor and diplomat – could ever have said something as dim-witted as this quote. He had many profound things to say, such as "In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes", “Time is money” and “Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise”, so I reckon Benjamin must have been in a pretty casual mood to utter the above quote about beer.
In my opinion though, beer is gross! Bring on the wine - especially of the red variety. I think that God gave us bottles of Merlot because he loves us and wants us to be happy. He gave us beer so He could point out who are the most distasteful of His creations.
