Woody Allen & Watching Sport

"What is so fascinating about sitting around watching a bunch of pituitary cases stuff a ball through a hoop?" – Woody Allen
Now I’m not the average Aussie who’s a fan of watching sport. Especially things like rugby and to a greater extent – golf. Although I couldn’t help but watch a couple of World Cup Soccer games when Australia was in it, (otherwise, why bother?) - there was just so much excitement about it everywhere that I couldn’t resist!
BUT – If you are watching a friend or family member’s game of basketball that’s ok. You feel invigorated by all the yelling and cheering and swearing that comes with just ‘watching’ a game.
I reckon this is because you strongly want your friend/family member to win (more so than Argentina against Uruguay or whatever it was). But I must say, if they are losing really bad the mood goes right down and it becomes a very disappointing waste of time! So before you go and watch a game, make sure your team has a good chance of winning!
