What a logical idea! I’ll definitely be giving this excuse to Mum when she whines about the state of my room tomorrow morning. “Sorry Mum. But I need to express myself. It’s art you see!” It might not work though, considering I don’t have an artistic bone in my body (a popular family joke, at my expense, is what my art teacher wrote on my report in year 8 - “Ceramics is obviously not her thing” – what a cow! I was crushed).
There seems to be an ever increasing amount of junk nowadays that can be classified as art. I remember a hilarious Absolutely Fabulous episode when Eddie looks at a coffin and says: “It’s a dead body” and Patsy replies, “Yes, but is it art?” In class the other day I learnt about a urinal that was placed in an art gallery, the artist claiming that it was art. Eww…
Who out there knows of any other weird and random art forms?
